Empathy Edu.

Empathy, kindness and love for our fellow man are at the heart of all good things in society. So then why isn’t empathy as a skill taught in schools? Empathy is not just an innate quality and through training everyone can learn to be more empathetic and caring. The mission of Empathy Edu. is to create a curriculum that can easily be implemented into schools so that children develop empathy just as they would learn to solve a math problem or learn a new word. Ultimately having empathetic students will lead to more conscious and well-rounded students who understand their privilege and see where they fit into the world.

I am passionate about teaching the next generation to be empathetic because I feel as though in order to be a productive, well rounded and thoughtful individual, one must have empathy. There are a lot of scary and distressing things happening in our world today and I truly believe that we can solve many of these problems by being more empathetic and understanding of others. Fear and hate are often at the center of a lot of issues, and I think if empathy and kindness were used instead of fear and hate responses the world would be a better place.

Empathy Edu. is unique because it will tailor programs to fit the needs of each individual classroom. Whether schools have the funding to go on field trips to soup kitchen or only have the resources to learn from their classroom Empathy Edu. will work for everyone. I think Empathy Edu. is in line with Anima Mundi Development Partners goals because training our next generation to be kind and empathetic humans will have an incredibly broad and positive effect on society.
